On Sunday, 12th July, I will be joined by my colleague, Andy Kelly, to tackle the Bournemouth Pier to Pier Swim to raise awareness and money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

 

Having already participated in the event in 2013 I am keen to give it another go, particularly as BHF is a charity that is very close to my heart.

 

Having been born with ‘heart murmur’ and requiring open heart surgery by the time I was 8 years old, I know just what it’s like to grow up with a serious heart condition. And I’m not alone. Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer with one in four of our loved ones lost to heart and circulatory diseases.

 

Please help Andy and I in the fight for every heartbeat by making a donation to help power the BHF’s lifesaving research.
