Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit AMRT's Highland Cross JustGiving page.

On 23rd June, Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Team will have two teams competing in the gruelling Highland Cross race! Starting from Morvich on the west coast, this a 50 mile race across Scotland, involving a 20 mile mountain run followed immediately by a 30 mile 'sprint' on the bike to the finish line in Beauly on the east coast. Our 'A' team of Mike Dennison, Roland Jones and Neil Gauld wiil be attempting to retain the trophy for the fastest Mountain Rescue Team for the third consecutive year, and will be supported in their efforts by Mark Davidson, George Tait and Malcolm Chalmers who will be competing in our 'B' team. Our teams are highly experienced ( or in other words OLD?!), with over 32 'crossings' between them. Over the years, we have managed to raise significant sums of money for Highland charities through our efforts in the Highland Cross......so please DIG DEEP and donate now, and perhaps between us we can make this tour best year yet!
