Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. I'm spending my 34th birthday this year taking part in my first ever half marathon - the BUPA Great North Run.
I am doing this run for my cousin Caden, who was born prematurely, with all donations raised through sponsorship going to Bliss the Special Care Baby Charity for babies born too soon, too small or too sick.
Every day hundreds of babies are born too soon, too small or too sick.
• One in nine babies is born premature or sick in the UK – that's 82,000 babies every year.
• Around 17,000 of these babies need intensive care and the figure is rising.
• Every six minutes in the UK, a new born baby requires urgent specialist care.
• Every 24 minutes, a newborn baby requires life-saving intensive care.
Caden has faced challenges every day since he was born. I can't do much for him but by running 13.1 miles for him can make a small contribution that will benefit babies that are born prematurely in the future.
So please dig deep and donate now.
