Story

As all my family and friends know, I sufferered severely from post natal illness following the birth of our beautiful daughter Daisy in 2012.         Having waited 16 years for a baby and following 3 miscarriages we were elated when we found out at 20 weeks pregnant that we were having a healthy little girl. I had a Fantastic pregnancy and what happened after Daisy's birth was unimaginable.

If it wasn't for the support of my family, friends and the wonderful volunteer at APNI I would not be here today to tell this story!

The support that Clare at APNI gave me and my family me all the way through this dreadful illness and during recovery is something we will be eternally grateful for as in a time of vulnerability and desperate need all you want is someone to be there who has genuinely been through this experience and come out the other side! You want someone to hold your hand and honestly tell you everything will be ok eventually!

Clare held my hand through the illness and is still there for me now 2 years on as I recover further.

Having fought through post natal illness I thought losing 3 stone should be achievable compared to that fight so I want to help the APNI charity so they can continue with the wonderful work and research they do and so they can continue to keep the charity successful so they can help more & more women through this awful debilitating illness!
