Fundraising for Al-Muntada Al-Islami Trust
Story
Assalaamu Alaykum, we wanted to raise money for the 'Little Hearts' campaign by Al Muntada Islami because of our personal journey with our daughter Haneefa.
The day our daughter was born, it was one of the best day of our lives. All parents can relate to the feeling of meeting their babies for the first time. Shortly after she was born, she was diagnosed with Downs Syndrome but Alhamdulillah it was a blessing in disguise we didn't even ask for. Unfortunately she had also been diagnosed with many health problems, one being a heart disease. She had 3 holes in her heart and a valve that wasn't working at all (AVSD). Alhamdulillah we are blessed in the UK with the NHS, everything was paid for and at 6 months old she had her heart operation.
However not all children are as fortunate as Haneefa. Everyday nearly hundreds of babies are dying because they can't have this surgery. Many parents are losing their children when we can help them. Imagine the child that gets saved, becomes a pious Da'ee of Islam, a Haafiz or a teacher. Our charity acts as a Sadaqah Jaariya that will go on and on for us. Charity being one of the three deeds accepted for us after we die.
