Aberdeen Foyer has been working through the pandemic to ensure that the people who need us most get the help they need. We’ve supported hundreds of people in a variety of ways, such as providing a safe home for young people, distributing digital kit and fuel top-ups, supporting people with their mental health, and delivering courses to support training, education and employability. We’ve achieved all of this under tight constraints, working mostly online and without the usual face-to face team engagement. It’s not been easy, but we’ve adapted and aligned our support to match the needs of those who require our help. Fundraising has been a challenge and the 5k Obstacle fun run on Sat 30th Oct at 10.15am P & J Arena, Aberdeen is one of the first times we’ve been able to come together in person and have some fun, while raising much needed funds for Aberdeen Foyer in the process!
