In August 2018, I will undertake the challenge of a lifetime and attempt to cycle the length of Great Britain, from John O’Groats to Lands End on behalf of Devizes Opportunity Centre.

I am a complete novellist to road biking (it has been an interesting couple of months learning already. 😁) i will be joined by 4 of my friends. We will be covering around 1000 miles, 100 - 150 miles a day, which will be 10 hours in the saddle a day for 7 days and involving an elevation gain of 30,148 ft and an elevation fall of 30,272 over the distance!

Devizes opportunity centre is a specialist early years centre, promoting the development of children from 0 - 5 years of age with special needs, they also give support to the families & carers. They give high quality early years education, therapy & ongoing support. That are partly funded by the government but are always in danger of having funding cut so have to rely on fundraising.

My mum ‘Bev Brimble’ has worked at the centre for 29 years and is a very valued member of the team. I have grown up along side the centre going to many charity fund raising events.
