Experiencing the ultimate adrenaline rush, our National PhD Training Programme in AMR students are bravely taking on a 15,000ft skydive in the name of Medical Research.

Story

Antimicrobial resistance is a serious global public health threat and is a problematic among the residents of care homes. Older people in care homes have high rate of antibiotic prescriptions and there is evidence that some of the prescribing is inappropriate which facilitates the development of resistance. Antimicrobial resistance associated infections are complicated and difficult to treat. Currently, at least 700,000 people die each year due to drug-resistant diseases. To raise awareness on this issue I am taking on the ultimate challenge - jumping out of a plane and soaring through the clouds at 15,000 feet, all in the name of Medical Research. Help me support this cause. All the donations will be going to Medical Research Foundation.

Thanks

Ahmed
