Way back in 2016 while watching children in need, the courageous stories made me want to do something to help. So I asked my mum if I could start to grow my hair to then donate it in aid of making wigs for children battling cancer. So with the support of family, friends and my primary school I stopped having haircuts. In the beginning it was fine I didn't notice anything diffrent, I was so proud the first time I could put it in tiny ponytail (see pics below). But boy did I underestimate the amount of maintenance  that goes into looking after longer hair, shampoo and conditioner plus the daily brushing to deal with the numerous knots, but it's nothing in comparison to what some kids go through when battling cancer or any illness. I've also decided to raise money for 2 local child focused charities. 

The BIG cut is scheduled for the 16th June during my village fete.

We offer a multi-pronged approach to supporting children & families through every phase of coping with serious illness & disability in hospital, schools, & the community. We provide music therapy to children in hospital, pastoral care & therapeutic massage for parent carers, special-needs music classes in schools, & bereavement counselling to parents who have lost a child.
