We provide life enhancing services to enable people to live later life well

Story

On the  lead up to our journey we will be raising sponsorship and awareness to the increasing number of people being diagnosed with Dementia in our local area. Every person living with dementia at some time has a personality trapped inside waiting to shine and that's where your donations can make a huge difference.
M.H.A. Specialise in activities, entertainment and social wellbeing, as well as providing good quality care for those people who really need it and also help relatives and carers to.
We have several events planned for the year ahead, to raise money  fund raising will benefit the residents at Aigburth and will also help other service users within our local community. It will help to add entertainment, outings ,activities and extra items needed to help older people enjoy a better quality of life.
Our staff who have decided to take on this challenge are all going SELF FUNDED so that every penny donated from our fund raising events and just giving page will all go to benefit the people who really need it.
The Trek will help us to understand what life is like for a person living with Dementia.  We will be in a strange place, having to trust the people around us. We will be relying on the team leaders to keep us safe and to guide us and we will also be facing challenges , that we would never think exist. Team work also plays a huge part in the challenge ahead.
On the 30th September 2017  Aigburth's team of five will  be flying to phoenix in America and will be joining a party of people who will trek deep down into the Grand Canyon, following the Ancient Indian Trails. We will be trekking for six days and camping under canvas in dessert conditions. Walking on ledges, climbing manmade ladders, crawling through tunnels and caves, washing and bathing under waterfalls, ,toileting in composted toilets, cooking over camp fires, swimming in lagoons and visiting an Indian village only accessible by pony trail or by foot.
Our staff are dedicated and find it fantastic working with elderly people who are members of the university of life!!!!
Please look out for the many events planned over this next year and join us and have fun!!!
Events planned are: Fashion Show. Curry Night, Variety show, coffee mornings , coffee afternoons, 60's night. Autumn, Christmas and spring fayres, raffles, cake bakes and many more.
We look forwards to seeing you all!!!!
All events will be posted on this web site, face book, at Aigburth and in the Aigburth Echo.
