We are an animal charity working to improve animal welfare in Asia
Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Hi one and all – I’m going trekking!! In a moment of madness I signed up to Animals Asia’s 10-day Vietnam Northern Highland Hilltribe Trek Challenge in October 2009 – to raise funds for the incredible Animals Asia Foundation (AAF) who rescue beautiful Moon Bears from the terrible bear farms in China and Vietnam. Go see their website http://www.animalsasia.org/ – they are brilliant people!
This challenge is also in memory of our youngest son, Ray, who so loved animals. Ray’s daughter Ciera and her school friends have sponsored Mausi – a tiny bear cub who was rescued from a secret compartment under a passenger bus in . It’s my turn now to do something to help the bears.
So……. My challenge is to get fit enough to trek for 10 days in the mountains of – Frasipan (3,143m) is the highest peak. The most exciting part will be visiting the bear sanctuary to see the work that AAF is doing. To qualify I also have to raise a minimum of £3,000.
Bears, of course, have a special place in our hearts. Who didn’t cuddle a teddy bear as a child? So dig deep. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Animals Asia Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement are added to your donation.
Please bring help to set the Moon Bears free by sponsoring me now. Thanks.
Animals Asia is devoted to ending the barbaric practice of bear bile farming and improving the welfare of animals in China and Vietnam. We promote compassion and respect for all animals and work to bring about long-term change.
