Story
I joined Wiltshire Police in June 2019 as an investigator on their Child Internet Exploitation Team. There is a not a day that goes by where I am not exposed to the horrendous things hundreds of children are subjected to. My heart breaks. But, I know we are doing good. If I have to go through trauma to bring paedophiles to justice then I will. So whilst I can help in the legal sense I would like to put myself through a physically challenge (cycling 330 miles approx. over 4 days) to help raise money to help those that have been victims of sexual abuse.
Every five minutes in the UK someone experiences rape, attempted rape, or sexual assault by penetration. 15% of girls and 5% of boys have experienced sexual violence by the time they are sixteen. The Survivors Trust is the only UK and Ireland-wide umbrella agency for specialist organisations supporting all survivors of rape, sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse. Their core aim is to ensure that society supports all survivors effectively and takes responsibility for ending sexual violence. Help me to achieve this.
