My 5 year old daughter Aless was recently asking me about sickness and death (we lost a cat who had a tumour and more recently her grandma).  A few days later on waking up she announced she wanted to give her hair to sick children (we had discussed why when you have cancer treatment you lose your hair).  She said 'I want to give them my hair so they can play hairdresser like me and be happy again'

Up until this point, she had fiercely fought to keep her Rapunzel hair despite the tears and pain of daily brushing! 

On the 3rd of July she will cut 10' off and donate it to Little Princess Trust who make little wigs for children.
