We use our little bit of influence to deliver development aid worldwide

Story

I have been selected by NPAC (National Police Aid Convoys) to travel to The Gambia in West Africa in March 2022. I am a serving police officer in Essex Police as well as a member of the International Police Association, with a head for adventure as well as always wanting to challenge myself.

The task is to deliver around 30 ambulances and equipment to the smallest Country in Africa - The Gambia - a struggling third world Country where 50% of its population is in poverty. Firstly, we will travel to Spain where we will then drive in convoy through Tangier, Casablanca, West Sahara and Senegal before reaching various towns in The Gambia. Although this expedition will be demanding in itself, I will be completing challenges to assist me in my fundraising. And to add a twist each will be COMPLETED IN A MORPH SUIT!

24 Hour Three Peaks Challenge - England, Scotland & Wales

This adventure will take me to the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. Ascending, descending and driving in between them - within 24 hours. Due to the challenging time constraint I will have to climb one of the peaks at 1AM - in complete darkness!

If that isn’t enough I will also be completing:

24 Hour Kayak Challenge - Hertfordshire to London

A physically and mentally enduring continuous 24 hours on the water, in a single person kayak. This will take me from the beginning of The Stort Navigation, in Bishop Stortford down through Sheering, joining the river Lee at Glen Faba travelling down through Broxbourne, Waltham Abbey & Enfield towards London.

Your donation will help us reach the fundraising target that has been set which will enable us as a team to purchase emergency ambulances, essential equipment & supplies that The Gambia desperately need. There are many shocking statistics about this country but the worst one for me is that “1 in 5 new born children die within 4 weeks of being born”. The ambulances we transport there will be used to deliver medical care, in this fragile Country which currently has few facilities to transport sick children and adults to medical centres. Where a lot of their population are unable to get to the hospital for urgent treatment or follow up visits. There is a lot more to your charitable donation some of which includes the logistics, fuel and purchase of vehicles, equipment, tools and supplies.

I really hope you will donate to my page to help those in poverty in The Gambia. Please please follow and support me on Facebookand Instagram as well as my website.

Thank you for getting this far down the page and supporting my challenge.
