I am coming out of my comfort zone (AGAIN!) and travelling to Vietnam to raise much needed funds for research into paediatric brain tumours, in memory of my friend Paula's beautiful daughter Katy, who tragically died of a DIPG brain tumour in 2012, at just ten years of age, only 3 months after diagnosis. This is a huge personal challenge for me, but nothing compared to the challenges faced by families every day whose children are diagnosed with cancer. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40 in the UK and that research is very poorly funded. The Katy Holmes Trust was set up in Katy's memory and is already funding a fantastic research programme via The Brain Tumour Charity.
