Story

Dad was diagnosed with Gauchers at around 6 years old. At this time there wasn't any treatment. His parents were told to take him home and enjoy him. Dad died in January this year at 76 years old. He started to receive treatment in his 40's including removal of his spleen. Dad always had a smile on his face and never complained. The Gauchers team at Addenbrookes went above and beyond to keep him well. To which we are all very grateful for. It is now my families chance to give something back to them.

About the charity

The Gauchers Association was formed in 1991 and is the only registered UK charity providing support to individuals and families affected by Gaucher disease, acting as the centre point for the Gaucher community working alongside medical professionals, scientists and pharmaceutical industry.
