Story
Hi everyone thank you for stopping by and taking a look at our just giving page.
As committed animal advocates, passionate about animal welfare and conservation and avid supporters of IAPWA, we are so pleased to be taking part in this amazing trip to help raise funds for a mobile veterinary unit in Romania. With limited veterinary facilities Romania's free roaming dog population can suffer greatly and repopulate without control, leading to more puppies being born and more suffering. Local communities need support with all their animals and having a mobile veterinary unit will provide invaluable help and a network of support and advice.
Our trek is over three days and includes -
- The Great Stone Mountain where we trek up the 7 Ladders - a trail that takes you across bridges and up vertical ladders
- The Piatra Craiului National Park with a trek across the longest and highest limestone ridge in the Carpathian Mountains
and
- The Ciucas Mountains - reaching a maximum altitude of 1,954 meters on Ciucas Peak
This is going to be an amazing journey and with my fear of heights and Leon's reluctance to walk further than a cricket pitch it will certainly be a challenge!
Please support our fundraising trek by helping raise funds for the veterinary unit - creating a better future for the dogs of Romania and helping to end their suffering. To see why this trip is so important to the animals of Romania please take a look at the IAPWA website -

This is a self-funded trek and all the funds raised will go to the veterinary unit. During our trip we will be visiting various animal sanctuaries to find out more about their work and learn about the culture of Romania and its beautiful animals.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page
