Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This great group of first time open water swimmers are taking on this challenge to raise money for swimmer James’s brother. James’s wonderful brother Rob was diagnosed with Leukaemia Myeloma about 2 years ago and he has been really ill and had to endure near constant treatment. He has always stayed positive although this disease is currently not curable so the way ahead is unclear. We are swimming for this charity to help fund vital research that will give hope to James’s brother and so many more like him.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

Our vision is to be the leading UK blood cancer charity specialising in stem cell therapy. We actively support stem cell research into blood cancers, raise awareness of stem cell therapies and offer a free stem cell storage service for qualifying families, which we call Model Cell Biobank.
