Shai is the 10 year old behind Shai's smile, and a BFF (Best Friend Forever), to my daughter. Shai is not different... but she is unique. She has a very serious and life threatening condition, meaning that she has had to be tube fed since she was 2, and is unable to eat or drink due to a Laryngeal Cleft. 

To her friends, she is Shai, no different to any of them. She never lets her condition get in her way. She is the bravest, most positive, and inspirational girl you will ever meet. She is strong, kind and determined to help others. Shai's smile is about 'giving back', providing support and funding to local charities who help children with life limiting illnesses like Shai's.

I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to run the London Landmarks in support of Shai's Smile. I have never run a half marathon before and an injury meant I could barely walk a week ago but if this inspirational child can do what she does, helping others, when she herself is continually unwell, then surely I can get enough support to complete 13 miles.

I know every charity is special, but this one really does deserve your help. It's all about the children, it's all about helping others, it's selfless, in that Shai herself deals with soo much but only wants to show kindness and compassion to others. 

If like me you love your coffee then just giving up a Latte for a week would give me over £10 towards this great cause....!
