I wanted to undertake a personal challenge by completing a marathon. I am also raising some money for Dandelion Time which is Gordon Dadds (my firm)'s chosen Charity of the Year.

A member of staff at Gordon Dadds nominated Dandelion Time as his charity because of the amazing support which Dandelion Time has given to his family.

Established in 2003, Dandelion Time is a charity based near Maidstone in Kent for children and young people traumatised by abuse and neglect. Dandelion Time provides practical farm-based developmental activities and a therapeutic service to help children overcome past suffering, develop in confidence and self-esteem and discover a new and positive path to follow.

Dandelion Time's aim is to improve each child's emotional well-being and resilience so they are better able to lead full and happy lives and be a positive force within their communities as they enter adulthood.

It costs around £2,500 to fund one child's Dandelion Time therapy programme, so every penny counts!
