We normalise + humanise conversations to eradicate the stigma of mental health

Story

On Saturday 11th September 2021, I will be pushing myself out of my comfort zone and completing a 10k run, to raise money for Chasing the Stigma.

Mental Health is something very close to my heart and the coronavirus pandemic has had a huge impact on health and well-being, with more people than ever reaching out for support. After seeing this first hand, I want to try and help as many people as possible to ensure they can get the support needed during these difficult times we all face.

Chasing the Stigma aims to remove unnecessary stigmas attached to mental illness by using first-hand experiences to disarm and normalise the topic, pulling together, making a difference and changing the way society approaches mental illness.

When you donate to Chasing the Stigma, you will allow them to pay their small vital team who look after the Hub of Hope and deliver and manage the Ambassador of Hope training courses. You allow them to maintain the technology they need to meet the demand on the Hub of Hope and help them to undertake vital community engagement to keep growing their database of services, improving access to mental health support across the UK.

All contributions will be made directly to Chasing the Stigma for when the 10k run is completed on Saturday 11th September 2021.

Please support me and raise as much money as possible for this fantasic charity, so we can save lives and provide the continuous support that's needed.
