I thought I would give myself a challenge of running 10km for charity, and I wanted to do this to raise money for a local chairty near me, Barnet Mencap.

Barnet Mencap is the leading charity for children and adults with learning disabilities and their families in the London Borough of Barnet.

It provides a range of services for children including advice and support for families with children and young adults with a learning disability, parenting workshops and providing short breaks for families who have a child with a learning disability, autism or complex health need. They are also there to provide adults with a learning disability with things such as employment advice and supported housing. 

They campaign with people with learning disabilities, autism and their families, to help secure high quality services and support in the borough.

I'll be doing this run on 16th November in Victoria Park, Hackney, so please feel free to come and cheer me along!
