As some of you may know, on the 9th of August 2003 we tragically lost our dad. At the time we were aged 6 and 5; at such a young age it was difficult to comprehend the situation.

This year is the fifteenth anniversary of the passing of our dad, Steve Yapp. We have therefore decided to raise money in memory of our dad by completing the National Three Peaks Challenge on the 28th July 2018. The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon), within 24 hours. All of the money that we raise will be donated to The Rainbow Centre for Children.

The Rainbow Centre for Children provides free and professional support to children and their families. They offer art, music and massage therapies, counselling, group work, support and information and rely entirely upon charitable donations for their existence. Situated in a quiet residential area of Bristol, The Rainbow Centre provides a haven of peace for children and their families suffering from the effects of a life-threatening illness or death in the family.

The Rainbow Centre supported our family through this difficult time. We feel that we have not yet re-paid our gratitude to The Rainbow Centre for all the help and support that they gave our family.
