Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Brian and I have three beautiful daughters. Our youngest Emily has so much to deal with every day. She is non verbal and needs 24 hour care and help with every aspect of her life. She was born with RETT Syndrome. She has the smile of an absolute angel and we strive to make her life as full and enriched as possible. She is very loved. There are some very tough times raising a disabled daughter and her future is uncertain as she could feasibly lose the ability to walk and develop seizures amongst other complications associated with this disease. Her sisters are fantastic and they deal with being young carers and adapting their lives as well.  We want to help other families like us through support for this wonderful charity. With awareness and donations it will all help so much. We are very grateful to them for their guidance when we need it and want to contribute to the amazing work they do.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Imagine being told your toddler you thought was healthy, but perhaps slow to progress, in fact had a rare and devastating disability that would leave them needing lifelong 24/7 care. Rett syndrome changes lives irrevocably. With your support Rett UK is there from the beginning. #ToKnowHerIsToLoveHer
