Story
Last Christmas, I volunteered for Crisis, the national charity for homelessness. This was the first time I have joined a Charity action over the festive period and I have to admit that the whole experience was quite humbling. Over the Christmas week Crisis provided warmth, comfort and access to vital services for homeless people across 12 centres in London, Newcastle and Edinburgh. I worked on couple of posts such as washing plates, welcoming/ signing guests into the centre and overlooking the sleeping area over 2 days.
It’s funny how this experience burst a little bubble I was living in and actually made me appreciate the small things and people that are part of my life. I enjoyed the experience so much so that I have decided to join the Wimbledon Half Marathon in June and raise money for Crisis Christmas 2015.
It is very easy to get stuck in a routine especially in the City, but there is always time to do something greater!
Together we can make a difference, so please sponsor me if you can!
Your support would be much appreciated! :)
