Last Year I was part of a team who attempted to climb to the summit of Everest and carry out a world record attempt for the worlds highest dinner party. Unfortunately whilst on Everest we were just above 6000m, when Nepal's biggest earthquake happened and I witness the earth move about a metre under my very own feet. It was hard enough to keep standing on two feet, let alone watch the sides of Everest fall down around us and hear the almighty roar of the earth moving. Thankfully the team and I were lucky enough to get off the mountain and return home, but over 8000 people died that day and so many more were injured and left homeless.

Since I have been back, I have been doing what I can to raise funds for Community Action Nepal. A charity set up by the mountaineering legend Doug Scott and his friends. They have been doing some incredible work over the years to help the mountain people of Nepal and the Sherpa communities.

This year I will be challenging myself to various challenges from Marathon's, to climbing North Africa's Highest mountain in June. The first Marathon I will be doing is the Paris Marathon on the 3rd of April (this is the same date I left work last year to set off for Everest!).

I'm calling my challenges this year the "Because I C.A.N" project and if I can, hopefully you can, in giving your support and helping those in Nepal who are still very much in need.
