We fundraise to bring the benefits of music to children with medical conditions

Story

I’m off on another of my little walks ...
This time it’s the Easter 50km through and around Windsor and the River Thames on 11th April.

I’m doing this once again in memory of my amazing friend Jess Grant, who sadly passed away a little over two years ago following a gruelling battle with bone cancer.

I’ve never claimed to have known Jess long; in fact I only met her twice. The first time was when she popped up - along with her parents - halfway round a 25km charity walk I was doing for a cancer charity. Jess was herself ill at the time. I’ll never forget her beaming smile that day, and she will always be the reason why I throw myself into these challenges.

Jess’ passion was music, and it was because of this that her parents set up The Jess Grant Celebration in her memory, which aims to bring relief and support to individuals, hospitals and hospices through music and music therapy.

As always Jess ... this is for you.

About the charity

In Jess' memory, we are raising money for children suffering from medical conditions. Inspired by Jess’ love of music, we aim to help hospitals and hospices in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire by supporting the provision of music therapy.
