Story

UPDATE: Due to an admin error between EAP and Virgin London Marathon, Andy was unable to take part in the 2018 London Marathon. This news came with great disappointment after months of training and getting excited for the race. However we believe in the cause and so Andy took on the challenge by himself, running the route at 6am on Saturday 21st April. Andy had support from some friends and family who came to spur him on completing the exact route in just under 4.5 hours on unclosed roads. We hope that Andy’s challenge would deem worthy tothose who have already donated. EAP will be in touch via email if people would like their donations back.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

My wife and I are fundraising for Engineers Against Poverty (EAP) – a
specialist NGO working in Engineering and International Development. EAP works to fight poverty and promote sustainable development. Currently there are over 1 billion people who live in severe poverty and more than 2 billion people who lack basic sanitation services. EAP’s mission is to improve infrastructure policy and engineering practice in order to help reduce and eventually eliminate poverty.

Please donate generously and help give people the basic infrastructure they need to eliminate poverty

About the charity

EAP works in the extractive industries, public sector infrastructure and engineering education, to fight poverty and promote sustainable development. It helps deliver practical benefits to poor people through creating jobs, promoting enterprise development and providing training.
