I was approached in June to take part in this event. Due to my lack of dancing experience and overall fear of doing this sort of thing, my initial response was, "NO WAY!" However, after some careful thought and consideration I decided that in order to raise money for this amazing cause, I should put myself out of my comfort zone for the greater good!

I will be paired with a professional dancer and given 10 hours of tuition in order to learn a routine. The theme of the event will be Dirty Dancing and all dances and accompanying music will be from the film. The event will have 10 other couples and we will all compete for the chance to be crowned the Simply Come Dirty Dancing Champion!

The chosen Charity (Wirral Ark) is a homeless prevention, support and accommodation service. They support thousands of people at risk. These include isolated people with mental health or drug problems, current and ex-offenders, former rough sleepers and people who are begging or street drinking. Their aim is to help homeless men and women on an individual level, working together to identify the support they need for their particular journey to recovery.

People end up sleeping rough for a variety of reasons. Wirral Ark is there to help support them through the toughest of times, when needed most. Please help us to help those currently homeless or at risk of homelessness.
