Story
Hi everyone,
On Sunday 4th October I'll be taking part in my first ever organised running event, the 10k Great Scottish Run, in Glasgow city centre. There, I've said it, and I've posted this page, so it's too late to pull out now! Cripes.
I'm doing this to raise funds for the Lily Foundation, a wonderful charity that works to support research into Mitochondrial Disease, and to support families affected by it. To learn more about this disease, and the work of the Foundation, please visit their website: http://www.thelilyfoundation.org.uk/
This charity is close to my heart. It's named in memory of Lily, who would have gone to school with my daughters. Tragically, she was diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease and died at just eight months.
You can read Lily's story here: http://www.thelilyfoundation.org.uk/our-charity/lilys-story/I would be extremely grateful for your support. Any donation of any size is welcome. You will be helping a truly worthy cause.
