This year I am running the Great North Run on the 13th September for the first time to raise funds for "The Great North Air Ambulance".

They operate three helicopters every day of the year.  Their crews respond to 1,000 call outs a year.  On board are Doctors and paramedics who bring experience to the scene of an accident.  They really are the difference between life and death at a serious accident.
