We give the best start in life to children with special educational needs

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My fundraising mission is to complete the Potter's 'Arf Marathon (http://www.thehanley.co.uk/about-us/community-involvement/potters-arf-marathon/) on Sunday 9th June 2019 for the Peter Pan Centre for Children with Special Needs. Having had a very late start due to my body’s disagreement with my training regime, Its been a bit touch and go to say the least if I would be able to make it to the start line but thanks to some great physio and plenty of paracetamol and ibuprofen I’m hopeful that I wont fall apart before the finish line. This doesn’t mean however that your generous support needs to follow my slow and painful path so I look forward to your generous and very kind contributions to this fantastic charity.

The Potter's 'Arf is one of the toughest half marathons in the country with a total climb of 170 Meters over 13.10 Miles but the challenge is nothing compared to that faced by The Peter Pan Centre on a daily basis. They support children with special needs aged birth to five giving them the best start in life, with no statutory provision and no government funding without the Peter Pan Centre many of these children would be without early years support.

The Peter Pan Centre themselves rely on the support of the
local community, business and trust funders as they need to raise £270,00 a year to carry out their life changing work
looking after the children’s development, on a physical, emotional and educational level.
