The St. Raphael's Ramblers 6 miles river walk. On Saturday 24th March at 10:45am there will be a 6 mile sponsored walk in aid of Our Lenten Project - The Joel Community Night Shelter in Kingston. The shelter offers a warm, clean and safe place to sleep - hot meals and support for single people facing homelessness in the Kingston Borough. More importantly, their dedicated team of staff and volunteers offer a loving community to help transform the lives of vulnerable, isolated people and help break the vicious cycle of homelessness.

They welcome in 17 guests who sleep in shared dorms as well as a 3-bed 'move-on' flat for people moving towards independence. Guests enjoy home-cooked, health food and friendship around a large shared table at mealtimes and have access to laundry facilities, hot showers and lockers. Guest also benefit from 1-2-1 advice, workshops and volunteering opportunities to build life skills, co-operation and a renewed sense of self-worth.
