In memory of Luis Ghaut
Luis' Legacy
Campaign by Sarcoma UK (RCN in England and Wales 1139869, Scotland SC044260)
After being diagnosed with osteosarcoma aged 11, Luis Ghaut, his family and friends, decided to do all they could to raise funds and awareness for Sarcoma UK.

Story

Luis Ghaut was diagnosed a month short of his 12th birthday with an Osteosarcoma (a rare bone cancer) of the fibula in his right leg.
Please look at www.LU15.co.uk to read Luis' story. His courage and determination with the support of his family and friends throughout his cancer journey became a heart warming sight and inspiration to do something in his memory. All the money raised will benefit young people with this disease so any contribution will be gratefully received.

We start our trek in Kanol and make our way to Kareri village (1,900 metres/12kms) where we camp overnight. Day 2 takes us to Bal village (2,330metres/15kms). Day 3 we continue our trek from Bal to Triund (2,995metres/14km). Snow is mentioned here so winter woollies or thermals will be required overnight. Day 4 we take a trek to Laka Got (3,550metres/10km) which is a challenging ascent situated at the tip of a glacier and return to our camp at Triund. Day 5 shows us on a steep descent to Bhagsu Nag and on to our final destination in Dharamsala where we can celebrate a wonderful achievement knowing we have raised much needed funds in memory of Luis.  For more information on our trek you can visit dream challenges, www.actionforcharity.co.uk

You may be inspired to do one yourself.

Rhian and Anita are self funding this venture therefore all the money raised will be sent directly to Sarcoma UK.
