Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am raising funds for Prospect Hospice in memory of my wonderful friend Lisa, who was taken too early at the beginning of this year.
The photo pictures us after completing the “Pretty Muddy Race for Life“ in May 2018. Little did we know that shortly after she herself would be diagnosed with cancer and succumb to this horrible disease some 19 months later.
Lisa received outstanding end of life care and support for her and her family from Prospect Hospice.
It would have been her birthday on May, 14 and our initial thought of having a fundraising event was stopped in its tracks due to Covid-19.
I have decided to set myself the challenge of cycling 5,200 miles before February, 5th 2021, which was the date Lisa sadly passed away earlier this year. This means I will be completing 100 miles for every year of her life. It will be a massive challenge.
If you would like to follow me all of my efforts will be recorded on Strava. So far I have completed 852 miles this year. To complete the challenge I will have to ride another 4,348 miles in 37 weeks. That’s an average of 118 miles per week. To fit around family life and work (and the weather) the ride will consist of outdoor and virtual rides.
Please support me in raising funds for Prospect Hospice. I‘ll really appreciate any donation or pledge, no matter how large or small.
