Event: BHS Charity Race at Newbury, on 8 November 2018
The BHS' 2018 inaugural Charity Race Day at Newbury Racecourse to raise funds for our vital work.

Story

I am Ann Bostock and have come through the BHS training system to gain my BHSI. I have always loved NH racing and worked in several NH yards so am incredibly excited to be taking part in the BHS charity race . I'm raising money for Changing Lives through Horses, a programme dedicated to getting disengaged young children back into educaiton or full-time employment.

My biggest challenge will be getting fit enough as having had open heart surgery 35 years ago all was well until this year when I started having problems again. So mid-August I am having another procedure done which will hopefully put me back on track (very minor compared to last time) But I can't ride until 5th September so then I will be on a mission to get fit and raise as much money as I can!

I am hoping to raise in excess of £2000 and the extra will go to the British Heart Foundation.

Many thanks to Stuart Edmunds who is letting me ride out and helping source a horse. Also to my long suffering husband as I am not an easy patient!
