I am the wife of a prostate cancer patient and my friend  Susan Batten and myself are  walking 192 miles across the UK from Robin Hoods Bay in Yorkshire to St Bee's in Cumbria.  We are starting the walk on 3rd May and expected to finish it on 15th May (13 days of walking giving an average distance of 14.5 miles per day).

We are doing the walk to raise money for 2 local Cancer Charities - St Mary's Hospice Ulverston and Furness Prostate Cancer Support Group FPCSG.  Both are local charities who provide support and information for cancer patients in South Lakes area and rely on charitable donations and fundraising for their existence.  All of the money raised by sponsorship will be shared equally between these two charities.
