I've been running regularly over the last year and although I'm not the fastest, Im excited to take part in a proper organised event rather than the roads in Croydon! I'm really proud of the journey I've been on this year - going from being out of breath walking up a few flights of stairs to being able to run comfortably and not be embarrassed is a massive shift for me! 

I wanted to raise money for Croydon Refugee Centre as I know they do a fantastic job in the local community and despite being based within one of the poorest local authority areas, volunteers still try to help those who are at a really vulnerable point in their lives.
