We need help to save the Brick Works, our dedicated community site for the training and development of our clients. We are at risk of losing this facility, our landlord wants to sell to us, but we need to raise the deposit to secure our future

Story

The Brick plays a vital role in re-building and transforming the lives of many people throughout the Wigan Borough. A key element of this work takes place at The Brick Works. This is a dedicated facility, providing a safe environment for clients (many previously homeless) to learn essential employability skills which will support them towards becoming fully contributing members of the community again. These may include practical skills such as cycle maintenance, catering and carpentry through to basic skills including time-keeping, acceptable appearance /hygiene and social skills. Unfortunately, the landlord is planning to sell the building that includes The Brickworks. The Brick would like to safeguard the facility and the fabulous work that takes place there. To do this, The Brick need to raise a deposit of £50,000, to enable us to secure a mortgage to complete the purchase of our first wholly owned property. Please help us to help others and brick by brick we can make a difference
