On Saturday 1st August 2015, Royal Navy Reserve Midshipman Antonio Valente and Able Seaman Dean Martin will be starting an expedition to walk from Buckingham Palace, London back up North to HMS Eaglet, Liverpool covering a distance of 201 miles over a week. We will be covering approximately 33 miles a day and the walk will completed in part Navy Uniform, carrying all our equipment in our Bergens and hopefully a flag with the Macmillan Cancer Support logo and Walk for Life emblazoned. 

Once we arrive back in Liverpool, volunteers from HMS Eaglet will meet us at a central point (to be confirmed) and we will then March the last leg back to our unit HMS Eaglet.

Cancer affects us all as everybody reading this will know of someone whom has passed away or been treated for cancer, Dean himself has recovered from leukaemia which he was diagnosed with at the age of 7 and he has volunteered his time, courage, commitment and determination to join me on this long and difficult task and it will be an honour to have him by my side during this expedition.

Although Dean and I know this won't cure cancer...... £1 raised today is £1 more than Macmillan Cancer Support had yesterday so please any donations no matter how small can help make a difference.
