I will be doing the IGO W114 challenge quadrathlon to raise money for Access Sport. The event is designed to be an endurance challenge - to push anyone participating to their limits. It's split into 4 stages, one per day and the nights will be spent camping in the wilderness. The terrain is wild and mountainous and the distances will be augmented by steep climbs

Day 1 - 14km (8.7 miles) run / 2.8km (1.7 miles) swim

Day 2 - 55km (35 miles) mountain bike

Day 3 - 24km (15 miles) kayak

Day 4 - 36km (22 miles) run

At 15, I will be the youngest competitor in an IGO event to date.

Sport - including access to quality coaching and facilities - has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember, and has shaped many of the experiences and relationships that I cherish, and I'm sure you and many others can find examples where sport has affected your lives too. Sport isn't just about keeping fit - it can really change and impact people's lives.

Unfortunately many young people across the UK and worldwide have never had access to the sporting opportunities that many of us take for granted.

Access Sport believe all young people should be able to experience the power of sport, and runs programs all across the UK from Oxford to Manchester - often in the most disadvantaged areas - for young people. However over the past few years the number of people on low incomes participating in sport has fallen by nearly 50,000, causing a third of UK children being to be as obese or overweight, sidelining the poor and vulnerable. Your support makes a real difference in creating a level playing field, giving under-represented and at-risk young people regardless of disability, gender, background or ethnicity, the chance to enhance their life prospects through sport.

None of the amount donated will go towards my travel or other entry costs. Every single penny will go directly towards supporting and facilitating the most vulnerable young people's access to sport.
