I am running the London Marathon in April 2017 in memory of my wonderful mother Shahnaz Zafar. She was involved in a road accident on the 5th November 2013 and was admitted to the Critical Care Unit at the  Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. She sadly died of her injuries on the 14th November 2013. I will never forget the care,compassion and kindness of the staff in the Critical Care Unit who looked after my mother. I intend to raise money for this amazing ward which can benefit other patients in need.
