On July 4th, starting at sunrise I'm going to attempt to ride 400km (25 x 16km Ronde Hoeps near Amsterdam) in one day to raise money for Alyn Children’s Hospital. During these uncertain Covid-19 times, the hospital has suffered massively from not being able to hold their regular fund-raising events.
So whilst I still can pedal and have the crazy intentions and well-placed motivations, I've decided to try to do my bit to help.
Why attempt something so crazy? To challenge myself to the very limit. But this is nothing compared to the kids of Alyn Hospital. They push the limits of what’s possible. They are the true heroes. So I’m doing this brutal challenge to raise funds for this transformative and paediatric centre to continue perform inspiring miracles. The team do a heroic job looking after the children with a range of severe physical disabilities including trauma and head injuries from road accidents and terror attacks.
Any donation will be massively appreciated and help improve the lives of these amazingly brave kids.
To support the work of the Alyn Hospital, Paediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation Centre, Jerusalem, one of the world's leading specialists in the active and intensive rehabilitation of children, regardless of religion or ethnic origin, with a broad range of physical disabilities. Alyn is the only facility of its kind in Israel.
