The Swimarathon raises money for a number of local charities
each year, it is the Islands' longest running charity event and since its
inception in 1972 has raised more than £3.5 million by and for the local
community. Five local charities that enable teenagers to thrive will benefit
from the 2021 Swimarathon are Brighter Futures, Brightly, Jersey Youth Trust,
Teenage Cancer Trust and YouMatter.

Along with any money BDO raise, the sponsors for the day will
add a minimum of 50p per lap swam by all swimmers. In 2019 the BDO team swam 80 laps (160 lengths) which they will be trying to beat this year.
