Katie's team are going to be fundraising for the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team.

This charity is staffed by unpaid volunteers. Unlike other 999 services, around 95% of their Funding comes from the generosity of the public making donations-without which they would not be able to provide life saving services.

Their work is not restricted to mountain rescue for climbers and hill walkers, their skills are also deployed by the police to search for vulnerable or missing children and adults in the community, search river banks, and wade through flooded streets aiding swimmers, kayakers and devastated homeowners.

They are all volunteers and the work they do is really close to the team's heart.

We're going to be climbing Pen Y Fan amongst raising money through raffles and cake sales, so please give generously!
