Story
In June 1984 following the attack on Harmander Sahib (The Golden Temple Amritsar), Thousands of Sikh Soldiers in the Indian Army, walked away from their army posts in protest at this attack. By walking away from the army these soldiers gave up everything for the panth, they walked away from army pensions and privileges. This is the story of one of those Sikh Soldiers aka: Dharmi Fauji Partap Singh; Bhai Partap Singh has endured many years of being imprisoned and has spent almost all his limited resources in fighting legal cases. Today he lives with his wife and their five children in one rented room. His daughters are now of marriageable age, this is causing immense emotional distress to Bhai Sahib on top of his accommodation difficulties. The least we can do is show Bhai Sahib that we stand with them and join hands to improve their living standards and families’ welfare. We have until the 19th February 2013 to raise £7500 to purchase a property which has been secured for Bhai Sahib by Khalsa Aid on a small deposit.
So please Share this with all your friends and family and lets show Bhai Sahib that we are standing with him and his family in their time of need.
