The Balfour Beatty Charitable Trust was formed for the Group's centenary year. It funds projects which raise the aspiration, motivation and quality of life amongst young people suffering from disadvantage.

Story

Twelve courageous souls from the Newcastle office of Balfour Beatty Capital are daring to undertake a challenge so daunting it cannot be completed by one person alone.

Splitting into four teams of three, they will, putting a side all reason and fear, rise to take on a brutal 1,500m swim, a merciless 40km cycle and a heart stopping 10km run.

Why are they taking on such a overwhelming test of physical endurance? Pride? Fame? Status? Quite simply, no. Money? (Well........... kind of).

They are doing this so that those who have a less fortunate childhood than most, can have a brighter, more positive and encouraging future.

Times are hard for us all but for some, things are extremely hard. Please give generously and together we will be Building Better Futures!

Thank you.
