We empower our peers in music and events to protect their wellbeing

Story

Before March 2020 I could barely run for the bus. Those who know me knew that I did little to no exercise. When lockdown happened I started the Couch to 5K programme and in 10 weeks completed it feeling better than I've ever felt.

Through the encouragement and support of my friends and family, running has become a big part of my life and mental well-being over the past 5 months.

I've now been invited to face the challenge of running from Bath to Bristol with friends. This will be 15 miles / 24 kilometers, over half a marathon and the furthest I have ever attempted to run.

Going back to where I used to live and going on this mission with my friends will be great fun, but I feel it would be the best opportunity to raise some money for a worthy cause.

I have been a volunteer for Music Support since October last year. They are an amazing charity for those in the music industry, run by those in the music industry. Their mission is to make sure that nobody in the UK music industry is left to suffer alone with mental or emotional health issues or addiction.

Our industry, and most importantly, the people in our industry need our help now more than ever. So please, donate what you can and support me through this amazing journey.

Thank you all.
