Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

As you may know, Myself and Conor lost our beloved Dad in December to Brain Cancer, after fighting the battle for a very short period of time from May 2011. After having a car accident, he went through several tests to find out the diagnosis. Luckily for Dad, Mum (being a Senior Nurse) was able to look after him from home until 6 weeks before he died. He stayed at St Wilfrids Hospice in Eastbourne for 2 weeks, and then moved to Uckfield Hospital until December 13th where he passed away. He fought to the end and never gave up, so this is why Conor and I are running the 10,000 Bupa 2012 London Run on May 27th which is a 10k.

We are running for Brain Tumour Research which helps research into these tumours and how they can be detected sooner and treated before they're developed.

Please sponsor us for our event, it can be little or as much as you wish. It'll be a tough day but I know we'll make our Dad proud.

Thank you so much!

Becki and Conor
