Story

Lucy and Bee recently signed up to do a 10km run.  Anyone who knows us, knows we are not natural runners and whilst we are very scared, we are also determined to try.  Doing it for The Terral Morgan Memorial Fund makes it possible to complete it.  Any support you can give would be very much appreciated.

Terral was Bee's best woman's best man.

I was adopted into their wonderful life 17 years ago when I met Mandy and she introduced me to her then boyfriend who worked in the Royal Marines and spent several months a year sailing the seven seas.  Turns out Terral was winding me up then and he never really stopped... He would love, challenge, annoy and care for me like a brother.

When Terral was diagnosed with cancer, I was hopeful he would recover.  Living in Vietnam, I didn't see the day to day struggles they encountered but when I came home or we met on holiday I was faced with the reality of how much their life had been turned upside down.  Visiting Terral in his last few weeks made me realise how much extra care, support and "stuff" the patient and all those around them need and how hard Mandy was fighting for every comfort to make life easier for Tegs. In true form, Terral realised this, saying:

“When I’m jarred off I have to think of others. I’m counting my blessings because some people have got this and are on their own with it and they’ve got no one, I’m cared for like a king”.

Sadly Terral passed away on 20th March 2013.  In his memory, Mandy and his family created The Terral Morgan Memorial Fund.  The charity raises money for people in their local area who have cancer but cannot afford the things which would make their life easier such as installing a temporary stair lift or providing additional care.

I not only support this charity because of my love and respect for Terral and all those he left behind but also because I know that every penny will go towards helping those who need it.

Please help us help them help others.
